Raising livestock guardian dogs that fit in with your family farm environment.

Our first livestock guardian dog joined the farm in 2001. A cross between an Anatolian Shepherd and a Great Pyrenees, “Annie’s” characteristics led us to dig deeper investigating the different purebred livestock guardian dog breeds. After much research and many farm visits we chose the Kangal Dog to guard our flocks. This breed excels in their ability to protect stock and their steady temperament makes them a good choice for any farm. We are very pleased with the characteristics and work ethic of the Kangal Dog.

We raise working Anatolian Shepherd Dogs and Border Collies.  Located in western North Carolina, we have sheep, goats and cattle.  Our Anatolian Shepherds are guardian dogs against coyotes, bear, hawks, and bobcats.  Our Border Collies are working herding dogs.  We provide herding clinics and training for all herding breeds as well as guardian dog training for puppies no older than 3 months (all guardian breeds).

We established our small family farm in 2004 for our children to learn the value of work. We do not want to sell you anything that you will not be 100% happy with.

Our Anatolian Shepherd Kennels are located in the Upstate of South Carolina, in Spartanburg County.  We are near Greenville, South Carolina as well as Landrum, South Carolina, and the Tryon, North Carolina area.

Our Anatolian Shepherds are show quality that also possess the talent and temperament that all livestock guardian dogs should have.  They live in the pasture with our sheep, goats and chickens.  We also however, bring them into our home occasionally for a visit as well as socialization with us.  Although some individuals believe that this is not good for their relationship with the livestock that they are intended to protect, we have found this position to be contrary. Rather, we have found that it is vital and very important to have this close, established personal relationship with the Anatolian Shepherd, as this will translate to your instructions to them while they are in the pasture with their protectorates.  This is not unlike the shepherd with his/her Anatolian Shepherd and their flocks of livestock in their native Turkey.
